ConfigSoft Telemetry Software
Improved Physiological Monitoring and Telemetry Data Collection
ConfigSoft 4.0 is now available for improved wireless, physiological monitoring and telemetry data collection.
The ConfigSoft telemetry software is part of the Configurator System, which is used to wirelessly control and configure telemeters, SmartPads and tBases. The software also collects and outputs telemeter, SmartPad and tBase diagnostic information and manages their settings.
The channel numbers of the Telemetry system tell the components (telemeters, SmartPads and Configurator) which frequencies to communicate on. The release of ConfigSoft version 4.0 has increased the number of available channels from 30 to 40. Due to this change, channel numbers have been rearranged to different frequencies to accommodate the extra channels.
Telemetry Software Features
- 40 Channels (increased from 30 in ConfigSoft v3.0) allow data to be recorded from up to 40 animals (mice and/or rats)
- Windows 10 compatible (also compatible with Windows 7 & 8)
- Compatible with all SmartPads, Configurators and 5 series telemeters (except TRM53P)
- Rat cohousing and mouse telemetry functions included (require Configurator firmware version 3.2 or later)
Rat Telemetry Cohousing Software Feature (ConfigSoft v3.0 and above)
Cohousing feature included in version 3.0 and above
Cohousing is compatible with all existing and future 5 series rat telemeters (excluding the TRM53P telemeter), TR181 SmartPads and TR180 SmartPads (serial numbers 5444 and later). Upgrading to enable the cohousing feature does not require additional hardware. A firmware upgrade may be required for existing SmartPads to enable the cohousing feature as well as a software upgrade to Configsoft 3.0 or 4.0.
- The cohousing setup panel allows enabling Primary SmartPad and Secondary Smartpad configuration for cohousing
- Disabling cohousing to return to single housing operation
- Improved diagnostics panel to relay whether cohousing is enabled in a SmartPad, whether the SmartPad is in Primary cohousing or Secondary cohousing, and the Primary and/or Secondary transmission Channels when cohousing is enabled
- The new SmartPad Status tab in ConfigSoft 3.0 is a new easily accessible troubleshooting resource to understand your SmartPad status lights and its operation.
ConfigSoft 3.0
ConfigSoft 3.0 has been superseded by ConfigSoft 4.0. It includes the cohousing feature for the rat telemetry system and uses the old 30 channel transmission frequencies. ConfigSoft 3.0 is compatible with Windows 7 & 8. New customers should use ConfigSoft 4.0.
