Optical Tables
Thorlabs’ Nexus® optical tables feature all-steel construction, excellent thermal stability, and optimized damping for each table size. These optical tables incorporate 5 mm thick stainless steel top and bottom skins, each of which has a precision-machined matte finish, and the mounting holes have a 1/2″ (12.5 mm) border at the edge of the table. Optical tables are available with or without sealed mounting holes, in a 304L nonmagnetic steel option, or with through ports for cable management. Our optical tables are compatible with a wide selection of accessories and can be purchased separately, bundled with active isolator legs, or custom ordered with varying thicknesses and hole patterns.
Optical Table Supports
Thorlabs offers three variations of optical table supports: rigid non-isolating, passive isolation, and active self-leveling. The passive and active isolation supports provide vibration damping for both vertical and horizontal vibrations. In the active isolation category, we also offer optical table frames, which are available with a host of accessories that enable the creation of an entire optical table workstation.

Optical Table Accessories
Thorlabs offers overhead shelving options for optical tables as well as instrumentation shelving designed to allow control boxes to be placed near the equipment they control while minimizing their footprint on the optical table surface. Additional accessories include a kinematic periscope system, enclosure systems, earthquake restraints, equipment for use with pneumatic vibration isolation systems for optical tables and optical breadboards, and magnetic sheets to cover steel breadboard holes.
