Silicone Lubricant
Sealing between coverslip and chamber is most often done with a high purity silicone lubricant such as stopcock or vacuum grease.
- Dow Corning® 111 Valve Lubricant & Sealant retains its viscosity at elevated temperatures better than others we tested
- The 111 sealant is particularly recommend for heated perfusion systems
Slice Anchor Kits and Hold-Downs (Harps)
The Slice Anchor Kits are available for the Series 20 and Series 40 families of tissue slice recording chambers.
- Slice anchors are constructed for an easy push into the chamber’s bath area
- The user can thus control the cord line pressure applied to the tissue slice
- Most anchors consist of type 316 stainless steel with Lycra® threads, finished with a plastic coating
